Yesterday I tried to upload all my pics from my camera. I know I'm soon to catch some heat for not having them uploaded on my blogs. I went to the school to get a card reader but it was working.

It was my birthday January 28

On the 28th Abrina came to the studio and Sound Collage is selling tracks to her. She has a pop style Britney Spears latina thing going on so if your curious check her out. Brandon Steppe also suggested that I record a song as well. We have a project going. I'm interested in helping Sound Collage Musik from here on out. They gave me a key to the studio so I'm excited

January 21

On January 21st I was sick with the stomach flu. My body was extremely week so Brandon told me to take the day off. I just called him and told him. On that day I missed the chance to travel to the tech rehearsal for a big show the producers had to play at. That would have been a good opportunity to learn sound engineering for events.

January 27

Today I am trying to pick out any logos and designs sound collage wants on there website. I want to be able to leave my mark and today is the big day for that. IN the studio we are to start production for the Rep and his project. Hopefully the Rep will be someone connected with Sound Collage as much as possible.

YOu might see me at Panera today with my cousin getting this web site started.

By the Way if anybody was wondering of why I don't I have pictures up don't worry today I'm going to take care of my camera problem. I've been taking pictures but I don't have a chord or anything were I could input the memory on the computer but that will be dealt with today.

January 15

january 15 I got the confirmation from Seneca a member of G shock to meet him at the Sound Check before the show on sunday. This is one of the contacts I was trying to get connected to the studio with. joe Mack made a song that we are trying to sell to someone who can sing a high energy r&b almost pop song. It's so good we would need to sell it to a big named artist. I spent some time looking up people who matched the style and really pray about this being successful. One of the hardest things to do is sell a whole song to an artist.

January 13

That was the day Sarah came to visit and I was excited for her to see the studio. It may have surprised her that operated from a house but from this same place pays the bills of three grown men with families. On this day I got to show her some of the things that are going to be achieved in the studio by me. One of them is making there website and connecting with artist from where ever, and learning about sound editing.

Sarah also got to walk out with one of the CD's recorded by one other most successful singers who recorded with Sound Collage and her name is Nova Page. She has been on TV and is on the news about adopting a kid from haiti (not a publicity move she's for real).

Seeing Sarah also helped jump start my work ethic because she also gave me tips and how to sta focused by stuff I already knew but seeing her was a reminder.

January 12

January 12 we had to go out to the where the other office is being constructed. iPraisem later was doing a session on that day. Meanwhile we were outside of the studio planning construction for this office dow the street on federal. Meanwhile I'm texting people to get connected with them. iPraisem came through to the lab and we were making a recording the track because he had a show later that night.

I went to the performance because it was at a youth center I like to go to. One reason that you want to attend other people's shows is because they know you take them seriously as an artist and they are more prone to coming back to you and using your services.

January 11

January 11 was a day of really getting my feet wet. I atttempted to make a wikiedia article about Sound Collage Musik but needed to find a loop hole in writing it so the website wouldn't erase my article. I finally understood the full workday for these guys. People may assume it's just a piece of cake making music for people but it's a grind. You have to be good with the networking and know how to present yourself to people.

There was a group name G shock which I was trying to get a hold of to give thema taste of the music Sound Collage does. They are a jerking crew and they operate in trying to reach the young people by showing Jesus Christ's love and they do it through rapping and Jerkin. I had to get a hold of them so they could get connected with Sound Collage. I learned not to address money or the big business aspect but by making connections with other artist.

That was the contact I found on my first day next I had to find a way to get a hold of them. I got there number through my friend who dates one of the G Shock and found out they'd be rapping in San Diego.

january 26

Today things are up and running with the studio. My blog ysterday was extra short because as soon as we got in we had to meet with a manager of a lady singer named Abrina. It was cool he treated us to Barbecue Pit and it was good. Yesterday I got the Domain confirmed for Sound Collage Musik, and hopefully would have helped Sound Collage Musik out in a way that will always be remembered.


Talking with the manager was a shock to me. These industry characters talk really fast and business like. Always remember that sometimes it's not about what you know but about who you know.

For the next couple days I'll be editing the website and recording a song for the POL!

january 25

Today we were fixing some equipment from the rain. There was a leak in the ceiling so the computers were.

Okay here we go. I only had a quick second to start typing something for yesterday. The Wrecking is a band from portland Marilyn and they played the Rock. A famous band member from a group called POD managed them (San Diego Super Chargers) and we were connected with them because Sound Collage is going to remix one of there songs. They never had mexican food from San Diego so we wanted to shared that experience with them. It's always important to make friends as much as possible with all your clients.

As far as leak went during the rain we had to unplug all the equipment. There is a BILLION wires in the studio and we had to put them all back together. Now we are back in action and have a couple sessions this week and things to look forward to.

january 20

Today I'm actually learning making a track from the start and I am going to get to record to this beat. There are 3 sessions in the studio today for artist to come in and record. Lunch is at subway and Joe Mack is treating. Yesterday I got responses from an artist named The Rep who is working on an album. So this was a success because I officially am not wasting my time or anyone's here.

January 19

my hours at internship will be from 1 to to 7 because I had to work out my hours to babysit my niece.

Meanwhile my current objectives this week is

While I plan to get these objectives done this week, everyday I get to mix productions and learn proper sound editing. Recent recordings iPraisem, Abrina, Gifts From God, Clister, these artist all have current songs under going a mastering process making it quality music.

January 14

Yesterday I got to see Sarah come into the studio and give her the tour. We talked about some of the directions I'm going with this business and some things I've learned.

Some things are different than I expected because they are harder than planned. One thing I'm trying to get done is increase the number of connections of Sound Collage by connecting with others. Today I sent out emails to different artist with demos of the production. Sound Collage is all over soundclick.com hopefully mean while if anyone reading this and has some adivice in creating a proffessional site at a good cost that would be great

Wensday Dry Run

Yesterday i started my internship at First Canaan Studios Sound Collage Muzik. Before touching any work, we start the day off with bible study. Brandon Steppe and the production team had to prepare for a performance because they play back up musicians to certain artist.
Shaady G one of the producers in Sound Collage showed me how they use twitter to connect with artist who to record.
